Community Building

When individuals get together to share, interact, exchange, and work towards similar goals, they form a community. A community can be either virtual or physical (or both) in nature and can take many forms. Our community-building initiatives are intended to encourage people to share their knowledge and experiences with one another while also learning from one another.

The primary focus of LARN’s work over the next three years will be on developing literacy programs that are based on reading and communication skills, as well as on financial literacy. With our efforts, we hope to establish literacy-rich environments in as many classrooms as possible while encouraging kids to read and communicate confidently on a regular basis. It is impossible to overstate the importance of literacy in practically every element of one’s life. According to research, children who have difficulty with reading and writing are at danger of falling behind in other disciplines.  Ultimately, literacy and communication are intertwined.
